The Math Department at the College of Staten Island offers approximately 50 different math courses intended for majors and as service courses to the college. We offer degrees with an emphasis on either graduate school preparation or high-school teacher training and a joint degree in math and computer science.

Over twenty full-time faculty members teach these courses. The faculty's interests are wide and varied. Research areas include Applied Math, Discrete Math, Knot Theory, Logic, Number Theory, Operator Theory, Probability, and Topology.
